Mathematical Methods and Applications will be held at Penn State University on March 21-25, 2015. The theme of the workshop is mathematical tools for dimension reduction problems.  The focus is on reduced models that predict macroscopic behavior starting with electronic,  atomic, and mesoscopic scales. This meeting will bring together a group of experts to discuss new developments of the coarse-grained models using tools from PDEs, numerical analysis, dynamical systems, stochastic processes etc. More details can be found here.
