- CCMA Luncheon Seminar
12:20 pm – 1:30 pm on Mondays in 114 McAllister (Fall and Spring semesters). Designed mainly for graduate students interested in computational and applied mathematics and related areas, this seminar usually gives an introduction to a research topic without assuming the audience has any prior knowledge on the topic, and, in most cases offers an introduction to the CAM Colloquium by, for example, defining basic concepts important to the Colloquium talk. The seminar is 30 minutes long, followed by a discussion over lunch. Schedule of speakers is found here.
- Computational and Applied Mathematics (CAM) Colloquium
2:30 pm – 3:30 pm on Mondays in 114 McAllister (Fall and Spring semesters). This colloquium, following the style discussed on the AMS web site, focuses on a broad question in the field or discusses a specific question in a general way to facilitate a conversation between researchers (including graduate students) with different areas of expertise, and, in most cases, is a continuation of CCMA Luncheon Seminar. The talk is 50 minutes long plus about 10 minutes for questions. Schedule of speakers is found here.
- CCMA PDEs and Numerical Methods Seminar
9:00 am – 10:00 am on Thursday in McAllister 315 (Fall and Spring semesters). A less formal weekly seminar related to research activities at CCMA.
