Dr. Kai Yang, who obtained his Ph. D in Computational Mathematics from Penn State in 2015, is currently postdoc at Stanford University. His Ph. D thesis is titled “Preconditioning Discretized Multiphysics Systems” supervised by Prof. Xu, Jinchao. Kai has been working on the discretization and solvers for Fluid-Structure Interactions (FSI). In particular, he has developed a stable formulation and a family of effective preconditioners for the discretized linear systems of FSI. Wish Kai have a fruitful career at Stanford.
