Professor Ludmil Zikatanov’s work,  the “Urschel-Zikatanov Theorem” in spectral graph partitioning[1],  was highlighted in a 2016 special article Notices of the American Mathematical Society[2], on a story of John Urschel, a former Penn State student and a professional football player with Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL) who later turned into a professional mathematician (currently at MIT).
